In the late 20th Century Matthew Middleton purchased his first comic, “What If (Vol 2) # 56” and found himself captivated by the tales of the noble Avengers and their heroic sacrifices. He responded to that tale, and to superhero characters in general, in a manner similar to many of us, and held that love in his heart as he grew older.
Eventually Matthew developed another love that would change his life: Salamanders. In fact, he loved Salamanders so much that he devoted his time to researching them and was eventually recognized as a co-author in Pennsylvania’s amphibian and reptile survey for verifying that the range of Wehrle’s Salamander still extended into Blair County.
Now, Matthew has found a way to marry these two loves, heroic characters and amphibians, through the world of art. Matthew will have his superhero salamander drawings on hand, as well as his true-to-nature salamander illustrations. He will also answer any questions you might have about salamanders and amphibians.
Matthew Middleton will be in attendance.
