SCI-FI VALLEY CON 2021 COMMERICAL
OCT 8-10, 2021 EVENT SCHEDULE PROGRAM
There is not a strict mask mandate, HOWEVER, we ask that you wear a mask around the celebrity guests and in confined areas, such as the panel rooms and gaming rooms. We do have masks that we can provide to you if you do not have one. Some of the guests may be comfortable with attendees not wearing masks near their tables, but they must express their consent. The guests reserve the right to turn you away if you refuse to wear a mask. Masks do not need to be worn during photo ops if the guest is utilizing our plexiglass human-sized doll box. Some guests may be comfortable taking photos outside of the box. We are leaving this up to the guests as each of them have different levels of risk that they can take. We are also asking all the guests and attendees to forego taking selfies at the guests tables due to concerns surrounding COVID-19. We ask that you respect the guests’ decisions regarding masking, and appreciate their time and risk during a pandemic to come meet their fans.
Sci-Fi Valley Con is more than just a convention of 300 exhibitors and thousands of attendees, it’s a family. We put so much love, hard work, and attention into our show throughout the year to develop a heartfelt and memorable experience for everyone to adore. We invite you to join us on October 8-10, 2021 in Altoona, PA at the Blair County Convention Center. We pride ourselves on not being like the other corporate, cookie-cutter celebrity guest flea markets. Sci-Fi Valley Con is designed for everyone to have a more personal and intimate experience with all our celebrity guest actors, the exhibitors, and the staff. You will cherish the memories and relationships that will blossom here. Mark your calendars; it’s time to finally come home. We are the convention with culture.
Casey B. Bassett is the founder and promoter of Sci-Fi Valley Con & Momento Con. He created Assett Conventions LLC in August 2011 to be the parent company for the annual science fiction convention we all know and love as ‘Sci-Fi Valley Con’. He has grown Sci-Fi Valley Con’s popularity over the years from a tiny event in an ice rink to one of the largest convention centers in the state. Ask anyone who loves Sci-Fi Valley Con, they will tell you the same thing “It feels less like a convention and more like a family. You can see how much love the staff has for the show, the attendees, the exhibitors, and the guests.”
Casey prides himself on how much heart he puts into the shows. He oversees and controls every aspect of the convention personally. When you call or email Sci-Fi Valley Con, you will be talking to him. When you visit the website or read the newsletter or see promotional material about Sci-Fi Valley Con, you can bet that it was all created personally by Casey.
And yes, even this blurb written about Casey Bassett, was written by Casey Bassett. And yes again, it is weird to write about yourself in the third person… so I’ll stop now. 🙂
I hope you all realize how much your support means to me. We have all grown the convention so much together over the years. We’ve all, especially me; have gotten to meet so many talented and absolutely amazing people since 2011.
Since then, we’ve created our newest and most ambitious convention called Momento Con coming this May 7-8, 2022 to Pittsburgh at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
No longer will we be constrained by the limitations of the venue space. It’s taken us 10 long years to grow big enough to share our convention experience with a whole new audience in the big city. Now that we have unlimited space to grow, expand, and flourish, it affords us the opportunity to make Momento Con THE premier celebrity guest convention of Pittsburgh, PA!
This has been such a huge leap forward for us. It has been life-changing for me, my family, and all my friends and volunteers involved. I live Sci-Fi Valley Con & Momento Con 365 days a year.
Please feel free to send me a friend request on Facebook or just click ‘Follow’ to hear my frequent, sometimes controversial topics and discussions. Note, I can sometimes be a little eccentric and unconventional, but that is just the way I am. It’s important to think different. 😉
